I am 32.5 weeks along with my first baby and plan on exclusively cloth diapering. I took a tour of the birthing center the other day and they said I should plan to be there for about 48 hours (for a non-complicated birth). They provide disposable diapers there for the newborn. My question is, for those moms who cloth diapered their babies, did you bring cloth diapers with you to the birthing center (or hospital) to use? If so, how many did you bring? And if not, then why would it be "better" for me to use disposables for a few days?
I am struggling with what to do because I am very committed to using cloth diapers and personally feel bad about using disposables at all - I'm not judging other moms that do use disposables, but this is where I am coming from and would love to hear from moms with similar experience.
Remember when you are in the hospital those first few days, it is crazy! And you are so overjoyed by baby - so don't stress yourself over a couple days of disposables if that's what happens. But you can bring anything you want for baby to the hospital and should. Best wishes!
Yes. When you are in the hospital (or at home if you go that way), everybody is going to want to come by and visit you and your new baby. Of course you will be exhausted and want to sleep every second between attempts at nursing. In my ex's case people were considerate and waited until she woke up, and then didn't stay too long.
Good luck with delivery! I hope all is well for you and your new minion!
