    WTF I've been GIF'ed

Jan 16, 2013 at 10:30am by Elizabeth Banks

I recently joined Marc Maron for his podcast WTF with Marc Maron. We talked comedy, college, make-outs, and babies. Have you heard it?

Anyway, one of our ladies from Team Elizabeth put together this awesome gif for it and I wanted to share.

You can listen to the podcast on wtfpod.com.

Any more gifs of me out there?

    Spill 'em in the comments.

Lizz, I am not surprised you felt that way about Zack and Miri. That was the movie that sold me on you. The two of you had such great chemistry. I'd love to see you do another romantic comedy, you are the perfect actress to make a really sexy, funny, romantic comedy. You may have to produce it yourself.

Hollywood is so fucked up. Heather Graham did a bunch of funny romantic comedies, but apparently the powers that be have decided she's aged out of the role, because she doesn't get them anymore. This is an example of something that really ticks me off. Hollywood has all these little cubbyholes in which they cram people. So if you're a pretty blonde in your thirties you can be in a romantic comedy, but not if you are in your forties or fifties or sixties... The lack of sexy women over forty in film and television I think leads many women to see themselves as no longer sexual or sexually desirable when the odometer gets to 40. They stop going out, they stop dressing up, they cut their hair short, yada, yada, yada. It's sad. Another Saturday night with the vibrator dreaming of this year's Hollywood hunk. (2013: Ryan Gosling) Heather Graham will still be beautiful when she dies at age 97. She'll still be warm, and funny, and kind, and charming, and so will you when you die at 102. You'll both still be able to play the very sexy women you play in your roles today. (Betty White, I'll do you any time.)

Speaking of Hollywood dysfunction, you rightly brought up the Oscars for giving short shrift to comedies. The two best movies of last year? 'Wreck-it Ralph' and 'Pitch Perfect'. A movie does not have to be humorless to be serious, to move people emotionally, to be worthy of recognition as a great work of art.
[Five hour rant deleted here] Suffice to say I can't stand the Oscars and I'm very happy I'll never have to go. Although I do like watching the red carpet show before hand, because I'm a closet fashionisto. :)

"It's just, I think the older you get, the harder it is to like anything" - E. MBH.

Do not worry Lizz, as your kids get to school age and start socializing and learning about movies, they will cure you of this. They like things with so much enthusiasm, and get so into it, that you can just hang with them watching Cartoon Network, and the Disney Channel and seeing Ashley Tisdale do the same crazy, silly, stupid, funny routine for the 500th time and they'll put down the iPad for a minute and you can bond over the silliness of the screen. You'll learn to see everything fresh again, and revel in the simple beauty that otherwise would fade for adults in middle age.

When I'm with my daughter all is right with the world. I'm certain you know the feeling.

I really enjoyed the podcast. It was very real and down to earth and the audience got to know you a little more which was great. It was more of a conversation rather than an interview and that's what made it fun. Thanks to you and Marc Maron for sitting down for this chat :)

Like Jenna and Jon, I'd say go take a look at your tumblr tags for gifs of you lol

I'm 55 minutes in and this is a great interview! The best I've ever heard of any celebrity. I'm pausing to write that you (Elizabeth Mitchell-Banks-Handelman) must put your commercials on YouTube!
