Last year, I was asked to take part in a documentary titled Love, Marilyn. It’s compiles rare footage of Marilyn Monroe and pairs it with newly discovered personal writings, read by myself and other actors, including Marisa Tomei, Glenn Close, Viola Davis, and Ben Foster (seriously).
Fifty years after her death, Norma Jeane Mortenson aka Marilyn Monroe is still an icon and a mystery. She really was incredible.
Directed by Oscar-nominated Liz Garbus, Love, Marilyn opened at the Film Forum in New York last year and will be released on HBO this year.
“If anyone ever asked you what I was like, what Marilyn Monroe was really like, how would you answer them?”
How would you answer them?

This looks to me like something worth checking out. I'm always curious when it comes to getting a bit more of a glimpse as to what she was really like. -
Marilyn knew that Hollywood was overexploating her but she hadn't the strenght to put the things in order. Hollywood can be cruel and it's important to be very down to earth to avoid that. -

I was a kid when Marilyn is dead. She was very nice, but I did not ever consider it to be a good actress. She was an icon of sex for men. He had a very controversial life.
