The Hunger Games countdown is on! There are only three more days until the wide release this Friday, March 23, and I’m just dying to talk to you all about the film.
So, I'm hosting my very first live chat here on ElizabethBanks.com all about The Hunger Games on Tuesday, March 27 at 4pm PST, where you can ask me anything and everything about playing Effie and making this amazing movie. Is Effie's accent hard to adapt to? Was that how you imagined it when you read the book?I like to watch the trailer just to hear you talk with it! I love it, its so unique and fun! Now.. specifically about The Hunger Games: do you think the emotional complexity between characters in the book has been achieved in the movie? -
In an interview, you said that The Hunger Games books are easy to read but hard to summarize because there's a lot going on like in Game of Thrones... As a fan of both series I have to ask: would you accept a role in Game of Thrones? Who would you like to be?

I know you read the books and wanted to be in the movie. Did you see a script before getting cast? And did you like the consolidation/changes that were made from book to movie?
I saw the movie Friday and kept expecting major scenes from the book, so I don't think I enjoyed it enough. I thought that those that hadn't read the book would not get enough of the main points, but I saw it again Monday - making sure to keep the book out of my head - and I LOVED IT! -

I agree with Natalie!! I was really disappointed this wasn't in the movie, and I was looking forward to setting it as my alarm clock (in a totally non-creepy way). Also, if it is legal, would you be able to say the whole, "If you put enough pressure to coal, it turns into a pearl," ordeal? Thank you!!! Seriously, I am in love with that quote and need it on a shirt. Oh, Effie <3 -
You and Woody played the perfect Effie and Haymitch - the vibe between the two characters was spot on and great. Why do you think Effie has a crush on him? -
