First I would like to say that I am so very honored to have been one of the chosen winners of the art contest!
My piece was inspired by the most powerful scene in the first book. Rue was one of my favorite characters and her death was so touching to me. As someone who has a little sister the same age, I could really sympathize with Katniss.
About me: I am a fine arts student, studying in Northern Florida. I am an avid comic book reader and Pokemon master!
Victoria, I wish you all the best! Thank you! Who agrees with Victoria that Rue's death is the most touching part of The Hunger Games?

Yes, I agree with Victoria, that the scene with Rue's death is one of the most touching scenes in the movie... !
Another touching and inspiring part is Peeta saying:
"I don't want to be owned by others. Even if I must die, I don't want that other possess me."
His words are really touching me. It tells me that within us is the greatest power in the world. Even if we are forced to fight - by the rules of an entire system - it is still within me to make a decision: I don't follow the rule of fighting and killing, and I replace that rule within my inner self with LOVE.
That I have this power to so,
and that I am aware of that now more than before
this happened to me when I did hear those words from Peeta,
when he spoke to Katniss a short while before the needed to go
to the battle field...
