So fired up! Woke up extra early just to get my vote in before work. This was my first time voting and I have to say that I have never been prouder to be an American! Obama 2012. -

Today, I voted for the first time. :) I've only been eighteen for 8 days, and I've got to say, being able to vote was the best birthday present. I'm so proud to be able to have a say. My mother, father, and most of my family aren't able to vote because they're not citizens yet. They came here to make a better life for their children and themselves. They came to the US in search of the American dream. My mother greeted me with a hug and a big smile on her face today when I came back from my polling place. She was beaming with pride. I'm happy and really excited to be able to vote - not only for myself - but also for my family members who don't yet have that right.
I also want to thank Elizabeth for giving me the enthusiasm to go out and vote that I so needed this morning, because to be honest, I was a bit frightened and intimidated (but at the same time, excited) that my first Election Day had finally arrived. -
I am Italian and I can not vote. This election are very popular in Veneto, where I live, and i must admit that here, Obama has a preference greater than 70%...
