At the new World Trade Center complex, workers are busy completing construction on One World Trade Center. When it opens, it will be the third tallest building in the world, and one of the most environmentally friendly buildings of its size.

So, how does a structure that massive actually get made? Just ask a “Cowboy of the Sky.” These badass guys are ironworkers who spend their days high above the Manhattan skyline. The New York Times had to work for months to get clearance for their photographer to gain access to them. Here's an amazing photo of a Cowboys of the Sky at work:

While the view from the top must be amazing, Scott Raab chronicles all the ground efforts - good, bad, political - that made this new building possible for Esquire mag. Check it out HERE.
Would you be able to spend the day hanging out on iron beams at the top of a skyscraper or would you crap your pants?

This is beyond doubt a blog significant to follow. You’ve dig up a great deal to say about this topic, and so much awareness. I believe that you recognize how to construct people pay attention to what you have to pronounce, particularly with a concern that’s so vital. I am pleased to suggest this blog. Yesterday I saw 'Farenheit 9/11'. Great documentary and George Bush
it's one of the worst people in the world, using his job to make money and , in the process, lyng about Irak and sending marines to death -
No way. I have vertigo so bad I'd never make it past the third floor. I get vertigo when playing first person video games if my character is in a high place. :^(
And Elvira, I hate those carousel swings. They're all the rage now but they make me woozy. Somehow I'm ok with roller coasters though. Go figure. -
If you would have asked this a couple of years ago I would have said yes, I can most definitely do it! Not anymore! I went hiking a couple of years ago and fell off the edge of a cliff straight into a thorn bush a couple of metres below. It wasn't pretty but it saved my life. The scars pretty much faded but I'm terrified of heights now!
I could do with skyscrapers and tall buildings that I know are safe (lived on the 26th floor last year, I could pretty much see the sea from my bed), just not iron beams or anything that's the size of a banana. -
I'd probably crap the hell out of my pants. At first, but I think after a while it would be okay lol -
I think I would crap my pants... or cry... or faint!
A months ago I went on a 60 meter (197 ft?) high carousel swing... and I seriously thought I would die. Couldn't breath normal and started crying :s I really thought I wasn't afraid of heights!
BUT NEVER AGAIN! -
I think I could do it. I'm pretty adventurous and it'd be cool. Plus it would be an amazing view!
