LA-based Nina is hitting summer camp this Saturday! And you can too. If you’re in, near, or around Los Angeles on August 18th, go see Wet Hot American Summer in a cemetery presented by Cinespia! It’s like the opposite of ghost stories at summer camp. Recap: it's for adults! There's drinking! It's at night. Outside, in a cemetery.
If you’re not familiar with Cinespia, it’s pretty rad. Throughout the summer, they screen films at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood and this is the second year that they’re programing “From Dusk Til Dawn” - this year’s theme is summer camp!
Wet Hot will screen at 8:30 followed by ‘80s horror flick Sleepaway Camp, and skanky flick Little Darlings. Plus they’ll have djs, a “meatballs mashup” (whatever that is?), Friday the 13th highlights, vintage skating and surfing docs, photobooths, and camp activities... you can even visit the craft station to make a sweet friendship bracelet for your BFF.
For all the deets and to reserve your tickets, go to cinespia.org.
What is your fave summer camp activity?
