Effie's Capitol Portrait
As I mentioned on Twitter earlier, I’ve been excited to share this new Effie pic with you guys for a long time. It’s the first portrait of the Capitol Portraits series, which will be rolling out on the Hunger Games Facebook App. All week, they’ll be debuting new portraits of key characters in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
To answer the most important question in regards to the chair: yes, that is mahogany*.

It must be a lot of fun getting to dress up as Effie in all of her different outfits. I haven't read the books, so I can only speculate, but she seems like the type to change her outfit for every meal and another time during the day just for the heck of it. -
Elizabeth, I have a question regarding these photographs. In every photograph, except the one of you as Effie Trinket, the subject is either holding or in Snow's case wearing a white rose. Why is that? That is, why is Effie not shown with a white rose?-
One other portrait doesn't have a white rose, Haymitch's. Oh God, more fuel for the Heffies.

EFFIE!!!!!! It's an amazing portrait! I've been waiting ages for the first look at Effie and this did not disappoint at all. She sure knows how to make the most eccentric fashion look beautiful and you portray her so wonderfully :)
