OK, just finished. Good call, LizzieB! This was a better read than the last one. (No offense to Ron McLarty)

Was anyone else shifting from being depressed and grateful while reading this? My heart went out to these women and the unfortunate circumstances they were going through, but at the same time I was so relieved that my life isn't nearly as stressful/difficult/sad as theirs.

My copy had the Reader's Guide in the back, which I loved because it really tied the story together. The authors comments on the characters really gave them justice and I actually felt better that they were going to be ok after reading that bit.

      Here's <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/356680965" my review on GoodReads.</a>

Picked it up today at Bookshop Santa Cruz, then walked over to Penny Creamery and got some ice cream. :)

Maybe you (and with you, i mean all the ice-cream
addicts) should get some ice-cream first and then read the book... Or just do it both at the same time.

I am actually re-reading Catching Fire because it is the only thing I have on my Kindle right now. I keep forgetting to upload more (no wifi where I work) and just crawl into bed at home since I've been working sick for nearly a month.

Ms. Banks, I would be honored if you read the novel I wrote, "Hope for Change, But Settle for a Bailout." https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/152170 I see you when I am writing the Lori Lewis character.

This might be a bad idea - I might EAT the book instead of READ the book. Oops. Sounds interesting...I might have to pick it up.
