Happy New Year! Here’s your entertainment guide to the day after New Year’s Eve:

8am - The Rose Parade
The theme of this year’s parade is “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” Dr. Seuss was from Pasadena, and this year his hometown pays homage. You can watch the Rose Parade on any of these channels.
1:30pm – The Rose Bowl
This year, Stanford faces off against Wisconsin. The game is sold out, but you can take a nap tune in on TV! Remember how much fantasy football matters? Well, real football matters even more. Unless you think the BCS is B-S…you know what, leave it for another day. When my head is clear.
If you’re struggling to make it through the day, I give you this:
New Year’s Day Bloody Mary

The What
1 ½ oz vodka
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
4 dashes Tabasco
1 pinch of salt and pepper
¼ oz lemon juice
4 oz tomato juice
The How
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and pour back and forth between mixing glass and mixing tin to combine. Strain over ice into a pint glass, goblet, or I Love Santa mug. Anything un-dirty or un-broken. I like a full salad garnish: celery stalk, lemon & lime wedges, pickled green bean, a gherkin, pearl onion, stuffed olive and a fresh slice of cucumber. Or any combo thereof.
Optional: add a dash of celery salt and horseradish to taste.
